ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE (ACC) FORM: Homeowners, it is very important that you complete an ACC form BEFORE you begin work which will change the outside appearance of your home. If you begin work without Committee approval, you may receive a “Cease and Desist Notification.” The letter is not necessarily disapproval of the project but rather notification that the ACC request has not been received and approved.  Nor does it mean that the project will not be approved, but that the necessary paperwork has not been completed with the office.  However, if you submit after completion of your project you may have to make changes if it is not in accordance with deed restriction guidelines. It does not matter the length of time your change has existed; the Committee will act when made aware.  Similar changes made by another neighbor may have had exceptions or were “grandfathered in” due to extraordinary circumstances. Call the office if you need further clarification. Also, homeowners are required to obtain a permit from Harris County BEFORE pouring concrete.

BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE: “Yard of the Month” awards will be presented to selected homeowners for the months, April thru August. Winners receive $25, a Certificate and the roving “Yard of the Month,” sign to place in their front yard. Please call the office if you are interested in serving on the committee or would like to nominate a yard for consideration.

BEGIN TO RECYCLE: Many items we no long need can be recycled and/or reused rather than simply thrown out as trash. Recycling involves taking material that would normally be discarded as waste and giving them new life. By taking time to recycle, not only will our need for landfills and incineration be reduced, but we will also be helping to conserve national resources such as timber, water and minerals, sustaining the environment for future generations.  Challenge yourself, your family and even friends to see just how much waste you can reduce from your weekly curbside pickup. Recycle pickup is EVERY WEDNESDAY. Contact OFS (281-457-2705), our regular garbage service for a recycle bin, recycle sticker or simply note on your container it is recycled waste. Your current billing includes recycle service.

2019 CHRISTMAS DECORATION WINNERS:
             6334 Homeview            14410 Meyersville
            14014 Morinscott           14323 Pine West

CENSUS TIME:  In Mid-March, homes across the country began receiving invitations to complete the 2020 Census. Once the invitation arrives, you should respond for your home in one of three ways: Online, by Phone or by Mail.
  • March 12 - 20: Households began receiving official Census Bureau mail with detailed information on how to respond to the 2020 Census online, by phone, or by mail.
  • March 30 - April 1: The Census Bureau will count people who are experiencing homelessness over these three days. As part of this process, the Census Bureau counts people in shelters, at soup kitchens and mobile food vans, on the streets, and at non-sheltered, outdoor locations such as tent encampments.
  • April 1: Census Day is observed nationwide. When you respond to the census, you'll tell the Census Bureau where you live as of April 1, 2020.
  • April: Census takers will begin visiting college students who live on campus, people living in senior centers, and others who live among large groups of people. Census takers will also begin following up with households that have not yet responded in areas that include off-campus housing, where residents are not counted in groups.
  • May - July: Census takers will begin visiting homes that haven't responded to the 2020 Census to help make sure everyone is counted.

MAIL DELIVERY DIFFICULTY: Approaches to Curbside Mailboxes
Dear Customer,
The Postal Service depends on you to meet postal requirements regarding delivery and collection of mail to curbside boxes. Please keep the full approach and exits to your mailbox clear, as illustrated in the examples below. Removing trash cans, snow, vehicles, and any other objects from the area allows the carrier to deliver your mail safely and efficiently without exiting the vehicle, your cooperation in this matter is sincerely appreciated. If you have any questions, please contact your local postal office.
Thank you, Your Postmaster
