NEWS: |
Hello Neighbor,
As we prepare for summer and our kids being out of school, it is a great time to reconnect with the family. Whether you are vacationing, going to parks or just neighborhood walking. We have a park at the back of the community center located at 6003 Wood Bend Drive and it is available to all residents to use. We want all to be safe while out and about. As our children come to stay with loved ones this summer, please watch after these kids; there is danger around every corner. Last year for instance Purple Sage elementary school was broken into and vandalized by some kids from outside the community. The kids were caught, their reasoning was they were bored, didn’t have anything to do and adults were asleep. Please, know where your children are. We have installed cameras at all entrances of Pine Trails that can identify license plates and vehicles coming in and out of the community. We are also planning to install cameras in other locations of Pine Trails. We are trying to deter crime in our community as much as possible. The board needs help from the community, the problem sometimes is not from outside forces. The problem is sometimes within Pine Trails itself. We have had several instances where resident homes have been struck by a stray bullet passing through their home, missing children in bed, parents in bed and damaging their homes. A bullet was shot through the kitchen window of the association’s board member during last year holidays and went through the kitchen cabinets. When you hear a gunshot call the Constable at 281-427-4791 report it every time. They may be able to start narrowing down the area where shots are coming from if residents call. The most important thing is for you to report it or any other dangerous activities to the Constable and the office. We can clean the neighborhood, fix everything broken and everyone come into compliance on DRVs but if the neighborhood is not safe and we are creating the unsafe environment. Pine Trails as a community we must become more proactive and less reactive. We know no one wants to report their neighbor but the choice is yours. Let the lawless people continue to put us in fear for our lives or we do something. Any resident can make anonymous reports. Always call Constable so they can make a report, they can also take your report anonymously. Also report it to PTCIA office. Get as much information you can; car color, car license plate, description of person whatever information you can get without putting yourself in harm’s way. REMEMBER we have the Flock System with a time and other information you can provide about the vehicle may help to identify the criminals. When we unite, we win. As a board we will continue to look for new technology on safety to bring to our community. But it starts with us, let’s ALL get ring cameras or other safety devices. Let’s send a message to the criminals if you come to Pine Trails, you will be SORRY. Residents, please take in consideration your neighbor when shooting in the air the bullet could ricochet into your home. Blinding shooting a gun is a recipe for disaster. EVERYONE PLEASE HELP KEEP OUR NEIGHBORHOOD SAFE. Enjoy the summer break!!!!! CONSTABLE MEETING IS EVERY 1st TUESDAY FROM 6PM TO 7PM!! FLOOD MIGITATION IS ONGOING IN PINE TRAILS. PLEASE KEEP THE FLYER THAT HARRIS COUNTY ARE PUTTING ON YOUR DOORS. THE FLYERS CONTAIN PHONE NUMBERS FOR RESIDENTS TO CONTACT WHEN YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS PERTAINING TO THE WORK BEING DONE. FILED LIENS MUST CONTACT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE TO MAKE PAYMENT ON ASSESMENTS. O’NEAL LAWFIRM: (281)955-7999 |

Why is it important not to block mailboxes?
According to policy when a mailbox is blocked the carriers are to pass it up, and if the mailbox continues to be blocked after 10 days the mail will be returned to sender. The mail carriers are not to ever put their vehicle in reverse which is also a part of their policy, they almost have to parallel park to deliver. Please make sure you leave enough room to avoid getting passed up. The postmaster reached out to us here at Pine Trails CIA and requested us to inform residents this policy will be enforced immediately. There was a small incident where someone in our community approached and verbally attacked the mail carrier, we informed the Constables you will be arrested. The mail carriers are public servants you will be charged with a felony due to fact they are government employees. The answer is not to block yours or your neighbor’s mailbox. The board realizes this will take some time to get used to. We will not be responsible for no mail delivery.
Why is it important to have addresses visible?
A part of a Homeowner’s duty is to have visible mail address from street. Why? If there is any type of emergency, the emergency personnel will not be able to find your house in emergency situations and seconds count in a matter of life or death. We will be sending out DRVs to residents to please put an address on your home, or mailbox. Your home would be ideal because it is important the emergency personnel can see it. Remember when you call in an emergency, they don’t know where you live. GPS isn’t always effective. Remember years ago, there was no GPS they had to use addresses. So, protect yourself and your family put your address on your HOME. PINE TRAILS WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR EMS/POLICE NOT BEING ABLE TO LOCATE YOUR HOME. PINE TRAILS IS NOT OBLIGATED TO ASSIST EMS/POLICE IN LOCATING YOUR HOME.
Why keep esplanades clean?
The esplanades are part of our community. We spend from 1 to 2 hours daily clearing trash from these areas we are asking the residents, and all children please help us to keep our esplanades cleaned. This is the first part of our community people see when coming into Pine Trails. Why would residents drive/walk on Purple Sage Road and intently throw trash out on esplanades? We live here. Please help us keep our community clean. FIRST IMPRESSIONS DO COUNT.
TORNADO 5/2024
We are now in the process of cleaning up after the May Tornado. Many people dumped their branches on the esplanades. Harris County will be picking these branches up they will be also picking up fencing debris but they must be in a separate pile on the curb also and not mixed with branches. The procedure for picking up your branches is for the residents to cut and put in a pile and place on curb of your home for pick up. In the future do not place branches on esplanades. Some residents put their branches on pipeline. The grass on the pipeline is owned by Pine Trails, so the residents of Pine Trails’ maintenance fee money will be used to hire someone to clear pipelines. Please cut and pile your branches on the curb of your home, so we won’t have to pay to clear pipeline. Putting branches on curb is no cost to the community. Clearing your home of branches and placing them anywhere other than curb of your home you are creating problems for others. Let’s be good neighbors.
CALL 713-274-3880 FOR BRANCHES PICK UP.
